Milton Keynes Breakers return to NBL Division 2 action this coming Saturday as they face Oaklands Wolves at Bletchley Leisure Centre with top off scheduled for 5pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Breakers enjoyed the most successful night in their history last weekend as they lifted the National Cup in front of a raucous crowd at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester. Having overcome Reading Rockets 95-85, the Breakers made history, becoming the first ever NBL DIvision 2 side to lift the prestigious trophy.<\/p>\n

The Breakers, however, will have to put that historic night behind them and refocus on their \u2018bread and butter,\u2019 with their latest league fixture. The Oaklands College Wolves will be the guests in Milton Keynes this weekend with the St Albans-based outfit making the short journey down the M1.<\/p>\n

They currently sit bottom of the division having lost 11 of their 13 NBL Division 2 outings so far this season. The Breakers, on the other hand, sit at the opposite end of the table – but their successful National Cup exploits has allowed Team Solent Kestrels the opportunity to extend their advantage.<\/p>\n

The Breakers sit in second behind Team Solent, who have played one game more than Billy Beddow\u2019s side. The gap at the top sits at four points, with Team Solent being the only team to defeat the Breakers so far this season.<\/p>\n

The two sides met in the reverse fixture back in October, with the Breakers running out 101-58 winners. That evening saw five players score double digit points with Dante Langley picking up Player of the Game with his impressive 33 point showing. Mike New Jr (18), Chris Tawiah (12), Jordan Spencer (11), and Luke Gregory (10) were the other four players to score double digits.<\/p>\n

Jordan Spencer will be looking to continue his high-level performances and take his MVP form from the National Cup back into the league. Spencer claimed MVP honours in Manchester with 34 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists.<\/p>\n

Don’t shoot off after the final whistle though, as the National Cup will be presented after the game. The MK Breakers faithful in attendance will also have the chance to take photos with the Cup.<\/p>\n
