After several months of hard work, we are delighted to announce that the MK Breakers Community Foundation has been awarded full charitable status and is now up and running!<\/p>\n
Over the past couple of years, it has become evident that our efforts are extending beyond basketball to encompass broader social responsibilities. With the increased recognition of the Breakers across over 110 primary and secondary schools in Milton Keynes, we now have the opportunity to engage with students on topics such as physical activity, healthy eating, mental health, and safety.<\/p>\n
From the outset, we have emphasised that the MK Breakers are a grassroots basketball community. Whilst we are not surprised by our rapid growth and success on the court, we want to ensure we have the correct foundations in place to sustain this growth and offer basketball to all.<\/p>\n
We have transformed into a social enterprise with the capacity to influence and change young people’s lives. Establishing the MK Breakers Community Foundation was the logical next step, and we are excited to see what lies ahead!<\/p>\n
