{"id":7163,"date":"2025-07-25T09:29:49","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T08:29:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mkbasketball.club\/?p=7163"},"modified":"2025-07-25T09:29:49","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T08:29:49","slug":"chris-tawiah-returns-for-the-2025-26-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mkbasketball.club\/2025\/07\/25\/chris-tawiah-returns-for-the-2025-26-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Chris Tawiah returns for the 2025\/26 Season"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Milton Keynes Breakers are delighted to announce that Chris Tawiah has re-signed with the club for the 2025\/26 season.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Back at Bletchley Leisure Centre for another year, the Milton Keynes native has been a vital part of our success over the last few seasons, playing a key role as the team climbed out of Division 3, all the way to a place in British Championship Basketball.<\/p>\n<p>Before joining Breakers, Tawiah has played in seven of European basketball\u2019s top leagues, as well as featuring in elite competitions like the FIBA Europe Cup and Basketball Champions League.<\/p>\n<p>A powerful presence in the paint all last season, it was notable that the 6\u20199\u201d big man\u2019s contribution spiked following Jordan Spencer\u2019s return to Milton Keynes. Their effective two-man game resulted in Tawiah averaging 16.17 points and 8.9 rebounds per game with his running mate back in the lineup.<\/p>\n<p>Keeping that duo together was certainly a priority for our new Head Coach, who was delighted to agree a new deal with the fan favourite.<em> \u201cIt\u2019s huge that Chris is returning for us,\u201d<\/em> <span style=\"color: #ed1c24;\"><strong>said Ben Stanley,<\/strong><\/span> <em>\u201che knows the city so well and has put so much time into the club which is something we really value.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHis presence as a dominant big man is known around the league. We know he\u2019ll be a huge help for us and I think there\u2019s even more in the tank than he showed last season.
